Dustin is a Plant Physiologist with the USDA Forest Service. Dustin’s research measures performance of tree species under a range of abiotic conditions. Some of his work includes an evaluation of 23 tree species considered for planting in lowland ash stands. His climate-focused research is used to evaluate shifts in genetic populations or range expansion of tree species to facilitate climate resiliency of forests. Dustin’s involvement in the DREAM study will enable a mechanistic assessment of seedling performance across the genetic populations within a tree species.
