Amanda is a Research Scientist with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry where her current research focuses heavily on assessing and developing applied, adaptive forest management techniques as a means of promoting forest resilience and mitigating negative impacts of climate change, browsers, and invasive species. Her research background includes forest-wildlife associations, landscape ecology, and she has a burgeoning interest in how underground processes such as seasonally frozen soils and mycorrhizal communities contribute to maintenance of healthy, resilient forests.
