After almost 19 years as a researcher at the Direction de la recherche forestière, Fabienne is, since 2017, technical coordinator at the Centre de semences forestières provincial de Berthierville. In this role, Fabienne coordinates the technical staff of the seed centre to complete the extraction of cones and seed collected across Québec for the reforestation program of the ministry, as well as their distribution to the tree nurseries. She is also responsible for the seed orchards on the nursery grounds and, since 2021, she coordinates the technical staff of the nursery. The Berthier nursery is the only governmental nursery producing hardwood seedlings.
