Daniel is a forest engineer specialized in the study of forest regeneration (advance growth and planted seedlings) acclimation to microenvironmental changes, especially following different silvicultural treatments. His research works also deal with the development of silviculture adapted to Quebec’s mixedwood forests. His role in the DREAM-QC project is to plan and coordinate the monitoring of ecophysiological variables for the different planted species, particularly to help identify the causes of their growth difficulties or mortality.
