Alano Bonacini, Denise Master's Student

Student

Denise Alano Bonacini is a master’s student in Renewable Resources at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), where she previously completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology. Her research centers on the frost resistance of sugar and red maple species, aiming to enhance their resilience through assisted migration strategies. By investigating the physiological and genetic mechanisms underpinning frost resistance, Denise’s work contributes valuable insights into the adaptive capacities of these trees, which are crucial for their successful relocation in response to climate change. Her research has the potential to support sustainable forestry practices and improve ecosystem stability in changing climates.
