Emilie is a biologist specialized in plant-herbivore relationships, especially cervids in forest ecosystems. She started in the DREAM-Qc project as a postdoctoral researcher and studied the relationship between planted seedlings chemical content and their potential resistance to browsing. On top of pursuing this research, she’s aiming to develop new methods to evaluate cervid browsing in the province of Québec, and studies silviculture in the context of adaptation to climate change. In her job at the Direction de la recherche forestière, she contributes to the planification and coordination for the implantation of a second experimental design in the hardwood forest.
