Debas, Adrien Ph.D. student

Student

Université Laval

Adrien is a Laval University PhD student, attending the forest sciences programme. During his engineer studies in forest management in Nancy, France, he was an apprentice at the French National Forest Office. There, he studied Brutian pines (Pinus brutia Ten.) experimental plots to assess their acclimatization, and to contribute to discussions on advice regarding forest reproductive material. In Quebec, he joins the DREAM project to study ecophysiological adaptation of transferred plants, but also to shed light on assisted migration’s consequences on the forest carbon cycle, and on the forests’ ability to mitigate climate change.
