Nita is an ecologist with an interest in plant functional traits, biodiversity, invasive species and their role in ecosystem functioning. Her research focuses on understanding plant adaptation to environmental changes across various biomes, from tropical forests to alpine treelines. With her research experience in the Himalayas, she works on planning, coordinating, and managing field activities at the DREAM experimental site in Simoncouche, the northern permanent location.
