Silvestro, Roberto Research professor

Research professor

Université du Québec à Chicoutimi

Roberto is a forest ecophysiologist, whose research interests lie at the intersection of biological and ecological sciences. He has a particular interest in studying the responses of trees to various biotic and abiotic factors in different forest ecosystems, primarily in cold climates. His research focuses on analyzing the biological, physiological, and phenological adaptive traits that plants exhibit inside and outside their natural habitats to assess their interaction with climate change and optimize forest management practices. As part of the DREAM project, Roberto is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing field activities at the Simoncouche experimental site.
