Natural Resources Canada
Kaysandra specializes in post-disturbance ecology, including successional dynamics and biodiversity, as well as the ecosystems recovery after successive stresses. Her work includes projects on the impact of climate change on the survival and growth of trees and plant biodiversity, as well as the short- and long-term impacts of wildfires, spruce budworm outbreaks, and salvage logging on the forest ecosystem. Her role in the DREAM-Qc project will be the co-supervision of a PhD student who will work on the impact of environmental stresses on various physiological variables.
